α- und γ-Anisatin, auch bekannt als α- und γ-Anisatin-Brassica, ist eine Klasse von Verbindungen, die Xanthenstrukturen enthalten, die in Lebensmitteln und Medizin weit verbreitet sind und hervorragende biologische Aktivitäten wie Antikrebs, Antioxidans und Antibakterien aufweisen. Heutzutage gibt es drei Haupttypen von Invertinen, deren Strukturen bestimmt wurden: α-, β- und γ-Invertine, die dieselbe heteroanthronische Struktur des Elternteils aufweisen, nur die Anzahl der Hydroxylgruppen am Benzolring, das durch Methoxy substituiert ist. Da der Gehalt an β-Anisatin in Pflanzen extrem niedrig ist, ist es schwierig zu reinigen und mehrere biologische Aktivitäten sind α- und γ-Anisatin unterlegen. Daher gibt es relativ wenige Forschungsanwendungen.
